Volunteering is a great way to meet people and make things happen that are important to you. If you care about the future of Idaho's natural resources, then get involved with Idaho Wildlife Federation projects. Volunteers can contribute as much, or as little, as they want.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE IDAHO WILDLIFE FEDERATION

Fund Raising Assistants: Volunteers are needed to assist with the Idaho Wildlife Federation (IWF) fund raising program. Work will primarily be on planning and organization. We are flexible on time commitment and work site location for this position. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed subject to IWF policy.

Membership Assistants: Volunteers needed to assist the IWF membership director in planning and administrative tasks associated with the membership program. We are flexible on time commitment and worksite location for this position. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed subject to IWF policy.

Office Assistants: Help office staff with administrative tasks that support the IWF mission. We ask that volunteers be willing to donate two to four hours a week. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed subject to IWF policy.

Wildlife habitat projects: Work on existing and new wildlife habitat projects, and monitor condition and use of project areas and wildlife habitat in general. Much of the field work is in remote and difficult areas. Volunteers may need to camp overnight on some projects. Some projects may be located closer to the urban centers in the Treasure Valley area. Multiple positions will be available, with a limited number starting in October, 2007. Current information on IWF wildlife projects can be found on our website at www.idahowildlife.org. Volunteers should be prepared to commit to 2 – 4 days a month while working on wildlife projects. Out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed subject to IWF policy.

Public relations/communications assistants: Assist the IWF Public Relations Director in carrying out the IWF public relations and communications program. We are flexible on time commitments and work locations on this position. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed subject to IWF policy.
